3. Rejoice Joy in the Journey

Jesus did not say, follow me, and I will make you healthy and wealthy. Followers of Christ should not be surprised when the world opposes the gospel message of Jesus. Jesus and His first disciples were persecuted. The early church was persecuted; why should we expect a different reaction? The joy of following Jesus and engaging in His mission and method of disciple-making is found in Jesus and His transforming work.
