Southeast Asia
The Philippines is an island country of Southeast Asia located in the western Pacific Ocean. This country is an archipelago consisting of more than 7,000 islands and islets. It is the second most-populous country in Asia with English as an official language and one of two predominantly Roman Catholic countries in Asia. During the 20th century, Roman Catholicism gained strength in the Philippines–leading to the development of church hierarchy, seminaries, and increased involvement of the church in all sectors of life.

One of the partners of FBC Beaumont, Allen Edano, is from the Philippines. Allen’s family owns and runs Northern Zambales College located in Masinloc in the Zambales province. Through this connection, our faith family has been able to go and lead disciple-making conferences and join in local evangelistic work with local churches. Though a majority of Filipino people claim Roman Catholicism, many people have not experienced Christ personally or been discipled. There is great opportunity for ministry in the Philippines!
