Jean-Paul Osteen

Hi, I’m Jean-Paul Osteen (that’s pronounced zhahn-pall). I was born in Southeast Louisiana in a loving Christian home. My dad was an evangelist, traveling all over the country to preach the gospel, and my mom and I often joined him on the road. My elementary years were spent in Illinois, middle school in Arkansas, and I returned to Louisiana for high school.

Growing up in a preacher's family made me feel like I was always in ministry. But it wasn’t until college that I truly gave my heart to Christ and began following Him.
After graduating, in 1999 I married my amazing wife, Elizabeth, and two years later, we moved to Alabama to serve in our first full-time ministry role. It was during our time in Alabama that God blessed us with our two beautiful daughters, Macy and Morgan Bailey.

In 2009, we made Beaumont, Texas, our home, and I began serving as the Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts at Beaumont’s First Baptist Church. Since then, we’ve seen God do some incredible things here, and we’re so grateful to be part of this faith family. It’s truly an honor to serve alongside such amazing people.

My deepest hope is to see more people come to know Christ in a real and personal way—and to see them multiply themselves as disciples, just as Jesus commanded.
