My name is Courtney Hudson, born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. I went to East Texas Christian School in Lumberton till 5th grade and started homeschooling with Pensacola Christian College from 6th to 12th grade. In 2005, my family and I drove to Pensacola, and I graduated with all of the other homeschool students from all over the world.
My family and I have been a part of Beaumont’s First Baptist Church my entire life. Fun fact: One of the current children’s ministry volunteers had me in the nursery as a baby!
I have been serving at Beaumont’s First Baptist Church for 25 years now. At the age of 12 years old, I worked in our Mother’s Day Out Program as an assistant teacher. In my early adult years, I was the receptionist in the church office until my son was born in 2012. During that time, I also served in our Children’s Ministry. Since 2014, I have been the Children’s Ministry Assistant.
I am currently certified in CPR, first aid and trained in the AED. As a children’s leader, I feel that it is a huge need to be prepared anytime should an emergency arise. I train leaders that are new to ministry like our college students as well as very seasoned workers. I let my workers know that the parents share with us their greatest gift and trust us with their children.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the check-in desk on Sundays and Wednesdays!
